Experimental Analysis of Luminescence in Printed Materials

چکیده
This paper is based on a printing industry research project nearing completion [1]. While luminescent pigments have been used for many years, provision of fast response quality control systems have been challenging, primarily due to large and expensive components that are integral to spectroscopy instrumentation. Characteristics of the light sources and detectors used together with application of three levels of detection systems are described.

Luminescence Properties of TeO2-LiF-Gd2O3 Glasses
In this work, the structural properties and spectroscopic behavior 80 mol.%TeO2-20mol.%LiF glasses which were doped with 0. 05, 0. 2 mole% Gd2O3 have been studied. It was shown that, by increasing the amount of Gd2O3 the glass stability was decreased. The PL emissions at 431nm and 627nm wavelengths were distinguished by 320nm excitation. The FT-IR analysis showed deformed TeO4 groups in these ...

متن کاملTuning the Luminescence of CdS Quantum Dots by a Simple Method
In this report, we present a facile approach for the synthesis of luminescent CdS and CdS:Mn+2 nanocrystals by reaction of CdSO4 and Na2S2O3 in the presence of thioglycerol (C3H8O2S) as capping agent. The influence of various experimental variables including, pH values and percentage of dopant, on the growth...
متن کاملLuminescence Properties of Oxyfluoride Glass and Glass Ceramic Doped with Y3 + Ions
Oxyfluoride glass ceramics containing CaF2nano-crystals doped with Y3+ ions were prepared by one-step crystallization of SiO2- Al2O3- CaO- CaF2 glasses at different temperatures. X- ray diffraction (XRD) results have revealed that CaF2 was the only precipitated crystalline phase in glass ceramic samples. According to the XRD results, a glass ceramic was selected as the best sample in order to ...
متن کاملEngineering oxygen vacancies towards self-activated BaLuAl(x)Zn(4-x)O(7-(1-x)/2) photoluminescent materials: an experimental and theoretical analysis.
Novel self-activated yellow-emitting BaLuAlxZn4-xO7-(1-x)/2 photoluminescent materials were investigated by a combined experimental and theoretical analysis. The effects of Al/Zn composition modulation, calcination atmosphere and temperature on the crystal structure and photoluminescence properties have been studied via engineering oxygen vacancies. Accordingly, BaLuAl0.91Zn3.09O7 prepared in a...
